
According to historians and archaeologists, the cities of ancient Sumeria grew out of tiny settlements established by a prehistoric people known as the Ubaid.
In the Mongolian language of Siberia, we note the following words:
ubadi – teacher, instructor
ubadis – teaching, religious instruction, magic, supernatural power, sorcery
ubadisci – teacher, instructor, magician, sorcerer
ubadiscila – to practice sorcery or magic
ubadisla – to practice sorcery or magic
ubadislal – sorcery, magic
ubadistai – having magic power
ubadiy-
It is from the Abala teachers of Mongolia referred to as the Ubadi that the Ubaid culture emerged.
We also note that according to Buddhist tradition, Buddha means ‘the Awakened One’. It is from the root ubadi, ‘teacher’, ‘instructor’ or ‘one having magic power’ that the name/epithet Buddha came from.
According to Sumerian mythology, a Sage emerged from the waters and taught the Sumerians all they needed to know to become ‘civilized’ human beings.
In the ancient Sumerian language, one word used for ‘fish’ is abala.
The four principal gods of Sumeria were An, the Sky God; Enlil, the God of Air, the One Who Bestows Sovereignty; Enki, the God of Fresh Water; and Ninhursag, the Goddess of the Mountain.
In the Legend of Abala, there were four kinds of Divine Spirits at Lake Baikal. There was the Lady of the Lake Herself, the Wind Lords, the Mountain Lords and the Lords of the Deep.
